Solemare Shipping Co. S.A. was established in 1977, as an affiliated Company of Anbros Maritime S.A., dealing with all the aspects of shipbroking, including chartering and sale & purchase activities in the dry bulk sector.

During the 1980’s it became one of the leading shipbroking companies in Piraeus, Greece. At times acting as a Charterer for its own account, but mainly through its principal activity of shipbroking, Solemare introduced reputable Charterers and Owners from all continents to the Piraeus maritime community, significantly helping Piraeus to be shaped and established as one of the leading shipbroking centres worldwide.

Solemare Shipping is a member of the Hellenic Shipbrokers Association (HSA). The principal of the Company since her establishment is Nicos G. Vlassopoulos, a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Shipbrokers (ICS) since 1975.
